Cargo Transport Charters a Massive Ilyushin II-76

Cargo Transport recently chartered one of the world‘s largest air-freighters to send a reverse Osmosis Water treatment plant to Nauru for our client Canstruct. Canstruct are responsible for building the Nauru Offshore Processing Centre.

As the supply of fresh water and power in Nauru is very scarce, it was imperative that this equipment arrived safely to ensure the success of the building project.

The water treatment plant is capable of supplying 800 kilolitres of water a day.  This is the third unit delivered to the island by Cargo Transport for the construction of the offshore processing centre.

As part of the closely co-ordinated effort the cargo was flown from Sharjah Dubai to Brisbane and then transferred to our charter ship, which departed within a day of the plane's arrival in Brisbane.

Pictured alongside the freighter are David Agosthino and Jason Hall from Canstruct, Jamie Kennedy from Aergo, and Ian Gregory - Cargo Transport's Air Freight Manger for Projects.  Ian was responsible for organising the charter and ensuring the delivery of a 20 foot and 40 foot container of cargo to the aircraft and its delivery in Nauru.  Standing next to Ian is Kimbal Lynch from Aergo.
